Survivor

Many countries in the world have now staged their popular Survivor TV series on the Pearl Islands – including the USA, South Africa, Bulgaria, Russia and most recently the Ukraine.

Survivor was created by Charlie Parsons, in which contestants are isolated in the wilderness and compete for cash and other prizes.

The show uses a system of progressive elimination, allowing the contestants to vote off other tribe members until one final contestant remains and wins the title of "Sole Survivor"

While the Survivor contestants are living in hideous conditions on a remote, uninhabited island the support presenters and production crew have to live somewhere a little more comfortable and as the largest hotel on Contadora Island the Punta Galeon Hotel is the preferred place to stay.

All the props for the program are constructed on the beach immediately  in front of the hotel and you will here the unmistakable accents and languages all around the hotel and the island when filming is taking place
